Abolitionists’ Trunks
Trunks filled with abolitionists’ artifacts that allow CMS students to explore the diversity of Concord’s Abolitionist Movement
Collaborating with the Concord Museum, CMS social studies staff will identify documents and artifacts that represent the variety of individuals involved in the Abolitionist movement. These objects will provide the foundation of classroom ‘stations’ explored by students to better understand the roles of women, African-Americans, militants, pacifists, religious groups, and secular groups in the abolitionist movement.
